Web Developer

Position: Web Developer

Designsensory, a leading brand, interactive and design consultancy, is seeking a part or full-time web developer to add to our technology team.

Developer will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development on new web sites and web applications as well as maintenance of existing sites. The ideal applicant must possess outstanding talent and be dependable and flexible; the developer will work directly with the principals of our firm and in collaboration with the design and technical teams as well as independently. Must be able to work on 3 - 4 projects at a time.

A track record of working on web sites and web applications from concept to completion is essential, as well as excellent communication skills. The ideal applicant is organized, responsible, detail-oriented and highly motivated. Must understand clients' objectives and interpret their feedback.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related field is required. Strong knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with Unix/Linux platforms and web hosting systems. Developer should be committed to best practices in coding as well as web standards and usability. Working knowledge of Flash is required. Additionally, experience with ASP, Windows servers, Ruby, Python, Perl or web frameworks a plus but not required. Must be comfortable working in either Windows or Mac environments.
