Web Developer | sclarke@designsensory.com

Our newest team member, Sam Clarke has worked in web site design and development for ten years, both as a freelancer and as part of large web design and development teams, within both technical departments and creative marketing departments. Originally from Sussex, England, Sam has studied in multiple facets of media production, including photography, film-making and graphic design.

He studied graphic design at South Thames College, London, and advanced web development at London's City University. The e-commerce sites that Sam developed caught the eye of The Independent, one of the UK's top newspapers. The Independent chose Sam as the focus for a major article on e-commerce for small businesses.

After spending time as web designer and developer at the Amplefuture group in London, whose clients include AOL, Nestle, MTV, Microsoft and Sony, Sam took on the task of managing the online UK face for Vonage. Working directly with the marketing director, managing director and president of operations, Sam single-handedly managed every aspect of the web site that served the entire UK market.

Sam grew up in Sussex, England, where he met his wife, a Knoxville native on vacation in England at the time. After spending two years in London, followed by a short stint in Barcelona, they decided to settle in Knoxville.

"I have a keen passion for the combination of exquisite design and cutting-edge technology," Sam says. "However, my golden rule is I will never compromise usability and simplicity in order to implement either of these superfluously."
