ALZselftest Website Development
The neurologist who developed the ALZselftest came to Designsensory looking for a way to bring the ease and accuracy of the widely used paper version of the test to Internet users. Because the typical users might be elderly or in the earliest stages of dementia, it was vital that the site design be clear, easy to use and uncluttered. We chose a clean layout with welcoming colors, plenty of white space, and easy-to-understand labels and buttons.
Because early detection is crucial in the effective treatment of Alzheimer's Disease, it was necessary to lay out both the reasons for taking the test, preferrably on a regular basis, and what to expect once you've taken it. A brief video introduction by the test's developer, Dr. John Daughtery makes the case. The site also provides physicians with information about the development of the test as well as giving laymen an overview of the issues surrounding dementia.
