our innovation
Creation of “americana” inspired Vinyl LP with matching cardboard package and label

Development of accompanying invitations and brochure templates
form and function
The CD/Vinyl LP framed the content extremely well. Twelve initial restoration sites where chosen, and this theme allowed us to present each site as if it were a song.

We extracted the “button” that keeps CDs in jewel cases from moving and glued it to real Vinyl LPs. This button LP would then hold the CD inside the package.

The stylistic “Americana” theme was extended throughout the collateral system which included invitations and reply cards.

standout characteristics
The CD label design was meant to simulate the look and feel of a real Vinyl LP label. These labels were printed and placed on CD-R media for future burning.

Actual, playable Vinyl LPs were obtained from a local Goodwill and modified to hold the CD-R media in the middle.

In order to simulate the cardboard LP disc packaging we obtained new cardboard, creatively simulated aging, and printed and hand assembled the front and back graphics.

Lesser known “landmarks” of American history have either gone completely unnoticed or given only slight mention.

In response to this growing fissure, Home and Garden Television and Innovative Marketing Services launched RESTORE AMERICA, a campaign designed to raise the awareness of these lesser known landmarks. IMS challenged Designsensory to create presentation materials based upon American cultural history. Instead of merely reflecting on the past, we decided to embrace the themes by bringing an old icon back from the past—the Vinyl LP. The LP and the LP cardboard sleeve, which served as the centerpiece for the presentation materials, were designed to hold a CD and the meeting’s business materials. As an extension of this system, mock invitationals were generated for the campaign’s planned Celebrity Dinner Gala.
