Client: Hunter Museum of American Art
Hunter Museum of American Art Website
Hunter Museum of American Art is an historical and integral part of the Chattanooga Riverfront and a premier destination for area visitors. A revered brand and organization, Hunter sought to build greater membership and visitor relationships while also distinguishing themselves online.
Designsensory approached the design and technical challenges of a web site redevelopment with great care. Visually, emphasis is placed on a clean, restrained interface that quietly frames the artwork and is consistent with their print and advertising materials. The interplay of shadows and light serves as a broad visual theme for elements at the page header and footer. Elsewhere, functionality and ease-of-use take center stage.
Diligent front-end work and a robust, custom technical infrastructure enable great new features such as user accounts, event RSVP, automated exhibition management, blogging, personal galleries, artwork tagging and ticket sales. A new CMS system allows internal management of content and promotional site graphics on virtually every page.
