Client: Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council

Middle East TN Tourism Website

The Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council partnered with Designsensory to update its site. Organized into simple, actionable menu items including stay, play, eat, events and an interactive map, the site offers visitors to the area multiple tools and tips for their travels. A bold, simple aesthetic makes it easy for prospective tourists to find events and attractions and to create a personalized itinerary, while mountain graphics and hues help capture the spirit of East Tennessee.

Although the technical hurdles were complex, the interactive map offers visitors an intuitive, user-friendly and value-added online resource. Rebuilt on the DSXpress platform, the content management system allows for easy updates by either the client or our team. Password-protected access has been shared with Convention and Visitor Bureau (CVB) partners within METTC’s geographic coverage area, fostering teams to effectively update more localized information.

The Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council is a cooperative branding and communications effort supported by the Tennessee Department of Tourism Development, focused on 16 area communities including Elgin, Fairview, Huntsville, Robbins, Oneida, Coalfield, Oakdale, Petros, Rugby, Sunbright, Wartburg, Caryville, Jacksboro, Jellico, LaFollette, Cumberland Gap, Harrogate, New Tazewell and Tazewell.
