PetSafe Bark for Your Park Identity
PetSafe®, the industry leader in the development of innovative pet behavior, containment, and lifestyle product solutions partnered with Designsensory to develop strategies, creative ideas and design for the second annual PetSafe Bark For Your Park contest. The grand prize of $100,000 goes to the winning city build a PetSafe dog park, with $25,000 for each of two runner-up cities. PetSafe encouraged communities of pet professionals, owners, shelters, welfare groups, and local civic officials to collaborate to help their respective towns win through interactive participation on PetSafe’s microsite and social platforms dedicated to the contest.
As a foundation for the various creative elements incorporated throughout branding materials, Designsensory developed a new visual identity for the contest. The identity combines a pet-centric and playful, welcoming tone, while subtly referring to the overarching PetSafe brand.
Thousands of communities entered, and tens of thousands of people across the country participated, each hoping to become a finalist. The Bark for Your Park contest drove awareness and sales for the PetSafe brand. Integrated branding efforts for the contest included the microsite, public relations and engagements across social platforms and the PetSafe.net site.
To generate buzz for the PetSafe Bark for Your Park giveway prior to the contest launch, Designsensory also developed a pop-up park idea, with branded signage, to give the promotion additional publicity among industry influencers and key stakeholders.
